The ninth annual "ART in the Park" event, a giant art-making party at Unity Park, 2636 N. Kimball Ave., is set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. July 15.

At the free event, people of all ages and skill levels are invited to create art at one of the many stations. Local artists including collective AnySquared and Amie Sell will be there, leading projects under this year's theme: "Sanctuary."

Materials will be provided while supplies last, but event-goers are also welcome to bring some from home.

This year's sponsors include Unity Park Advisory Council, Chicago Park District, AnySquared, Liberty Bank, Vicki Logan Design and state Rep. Will Guzzardi (D-Logan Square).

In the event of rain, the event will be pushed back to 10 a.m.-2 p.m. July 16.
