CHICAGO — Pies by Fasano will give free small apple pies Friday in The Loop.
The pies will be given out starting 11 a.m at a food truck outside 125 S. Wacker Drive. They'll be available until supplies run out.
The pies are being offered by Pies by Fasano, which sells pies through Chicago-area stores and a food truck, for the opening of "The Beguiled," a new movie from Sofia Coppola.
"The Beguiled" follows a Southern boarding school full of women and girls after they take in a wounded Union soldier. The school is "taken over with sexual tension and dangerous rivalries" as the film progresses, according to a news release.
During a clip featured in the movie's trailers, one of the school's students turns to the soldier and says, "Hope you like apple pie."
