HYDE PARK — The Smart Museum of Art is giving a free tour of the University of Chicago’s many hidden pieces of public art.
The museum tour will start at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at “Black Sphere” across from Cobb Hall, 5811 S. Ellis Ave.
The tour gives the story behind some of the university’s most famous sculptures, like Henry Moore's “Nuclear Energy,” which marks the spot of the world’s first artificial nuclear reactor.
Tickets are free, but space is limited and registration is required on the event website.
Another tour will be held June 21.
