At 7:26 a.m., officers were called to a home in the 2700 block of South Central Park Avenue after family members found the man lying on the floor of the garage, police said.
The man was unresponsive and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where it was found he had been shot in his back, neck and mouth, police said.
Correa, of the same block where he was killed, was pronounced dead at 7:45 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
