WRIGLEYVILLE — Cubs fans looking to keep the victory party alive headed to Wrigleyville bars early Friday.

Thousands of fans were already near Wrigley Field, where the Cubs victory parade started before heading to Downtown and Grant Park.

The bars began to see lines after the parade departed down Lake Shore Drive. Sluggers, 3540 N. Clark St., temporarily had a $20 cover but suspended it after the rush died down, according to an employee.

A few other bars had no cover as of early Friday afternoon.

That's a big departure from during the World Series, when tables at some popular Clark Street bars were going for $1,000. Other bars were charging a $100 door cover with no promise of a seat.
