RAVENSWOOD — With a pair of Alinea veterans at the helm, it should come as no surprise that Band of Bohemia earned a coveted Michelin star, the restaurant revealed Wednesday.
The "culinary brewhouse," co-owned by Craig Sindelar and Michael Carroll, opened in late 2015 at 4710 N. Ravenswood Ave., serving "elevated" fare and innovative beers brewed in-house.
Followers of Chicago's dining scene are trumpeting Band of Bohemia's Michelin star as a victory for the city's adventurous brewpubs.
Chef Iliana Regan announced that her Elizabeth Restaurant, 4853 N. Western Ave., received a star for the fourth year in a row.
Chris Nugent's Goosefoot, 2656 W. Lawrence Ave., also retained its Michelin star for the fourth year.
The 2017 Michelin Bib Gourmand list, awarding restaurants that provide "quality food at a reasonable price," was announced last week.
