CHICAGO — Ever wonder what a "New Bacon-ings" or "Never Been Feta" burger will taste like? Here's your chance.
Cheesie's Pub and Grub is turning into the burger joint in the FOX hit cartoon "Bob's Burgers" restaurant and with it will come a menu of deliciously punny burgers that the show is known for.
Employees at Cheesie's Lakeview location at 958 W. Belmont Ave. will be dressing up as characters from the hit show, which centers around the Belcher family's lovingly dysfunctional hamburger joint. (We're hoping to see a Gene in a hamburger suit and Tina behind the grill.)
The restaurant hasn't announced the "Burger of the Day" sandwiches that it will be serving. Which one of Bob's creative recipes will be there? We're betting on either the "Rest in Peas Burger" (comes with snap peas and carrots) or the "Jack-O-Lentil Burger" (obviously comes with lentils).
