ROSCOE VILLAGE — The wait is over for the new Bangers & Lace Roscoe Village location, which officially opens Tuesday.
Service starts at 3 p.m. and runs til 2 a.m. daily at the new spot at 1851 W. Addison St.
Weekend brunch is expected to be added within a few weeks.
“Roscoe Village is a growing neighborhood in search of a friendly place to catch-up with friends and family, as well as a bustling hub for young professionals who want a laid-back place to grab a drink after work,” said Chris Haisma, a partner in Footman Hospitality, which owns Bangers & Lace, as well The Betty, Sparrow, The Anthem and Bucktown Pub.
The storefront, formerly home to the short-lived Endgrain, has been undergoing renovations since spring.
Patrons can expect a cozy "Midwestern lodge" vibe and a menu centered on house-made sausages, from venison and garlic duck versions to spicy Italian and bratwurst.
Chef Jason Heiman's menu also includes build-your-own biscuit sandwiches and dishes such as mussels and clams.
Heiman and head baker Hanna Coleman — a veteran of Publican Quality Bread, Floriole and Pleasant House Bakery — have also developed a bread program that includes basics like pretzel rolls, as well as not-so-basic corn sourdough and pumpkin and squash focaccia.
The bar menu features a 20-tap rotating beer selection, along with spirits and wines.
The Roscoe Village outpost is the third Bangers & Lace; the other two are in Wicker Park and Evanston.
