LINCOLN SQUARE — Would you send your grade-schooler to Amundsen or Lake View high school? Inquiring minds want to know why, or why not.

Parents of elementary-age children who live within the attendance boundaries of Amundsen and Lake View high schools are being recruited for a series of upcoming focus groups. The sessions are being hosted by Grow Community, the nonprofit group that's working to build a network of K-12 North Side neighborhood schools.

The 90-minute discussions are being held to determine perceptions and expectations regarding the high schools.

Interested participants can choose one of three sessions:

• 10 a.m., Aug. 9, Lake View High School, 4015 N. Ashland Ave.

• 7 p.m., Aug. 9, Welles Park, 2333 W. Sunnyside Ave.

• Noon, Aug. 10, Amundsen High School, 5110 N. Damen Ave.
