WEST RIDGE — Michigan Avenue-style Nepali cuisine is coming to Devon Avenue in West Ridge, one of the most diverse and flavorful stretches of ethnic restaurants in the city.

Signs on the shuttered Curry Bowl at 2601 W. Devon Ave. show the space is being transformed into a second Nepal House location, which currently sits at 1301 S. Michigan Ave. The new diner is also owned by the group behind Chicago Curry House.

Renovations and repairs were underway Tuesday, and a man working on the building said he expected construction would wrap up in the next month or so. The restaurant also applied for a liquor license.

Nepal House's menu features classic Indian Nepali food like momo, Thalis, dal-bhaa, curries, roti and naan.

City records show Curry House, a chain, had its business license expire in November and never received a new one.

The owner for Nepal House could not be reached for comment.
