PORTAGE PARK — A junior at St. Patrick High School earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT college entrance exam, school officials said.
Bill McNulty, of Oak Park, recorded the perfect score on his second attempt after earning a 35 the first time he took the test.
McNulty, who plans to study science in college, said he credits his top-notch performance to being "relaxed" while taking the exam — and taking several practice exams as part of his coursework at St. Patrick, an all-boys Catholic school at 5900 W. Belmont Ave.
