BRIDGEPORT — A pair of progressive organizations will soon host Theresa Mah at a neighborhood coffee shop for a discussion about the state’s budget crisis.

Organized by Bridgeport Alliance and Reclaim Chicago, “Revenue Café” will run from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Bridgeport Coffee, 3101 S. Morgan.

Mah, who won the Illinois Primary for the 2nd District of the Illinois House, will talk about the state’s budget crisis and what elected officials can do to fix it.

“The state budget crisis is hurting our communities and families,” reads an event flier. “What can we do? … How can we pay a living wage to workers? How can we help those in need and create an economy where all thrive?”
