NORTH PARK — Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis will deliver a speech on social justice Thursday as part of Northeastern Illinois University's annual tribute to Martin Luther King Jr.

The free event is open to the public, 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., in NEIU's auditorium, 3701 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. (Click here for campus map.)

Lewis attended graduate school at NEIU, receiving a master's degree in inner city studies in 1993.

The tribute will also feature student performances and a Q&A session.
