LINCOLN PARK — Over the last two weeks, outdoor gear retailer Moosejaw has been the target of three separate smash-and-grab burglaries, police said.

The most recent crime occurred early Wednesday, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman.

Officers arrived at the store around 5:45 a.m. to find a broken storefront window on the southeast side of the building, Estrada said.

Estrada said multiple items, including clothing, were stolen, but police did not immediately know the value of those items. The investigation is ongoing, he said.

On Christmas morning, burglars smashed through the storefront window at around 6 a.m., according to police.

Police initially said the store was also burglarized on Dec. 16, but later said the burglary happened around 9:30 p.m. Dec. 15, with officers showing up the morning of the 16th.

During that incident, burglars smashed through the storefront window and stole clothing, Estrada said. The value of the clothing is unknown.

Moosejaw opened its Clybourn Avenue location in late October, according to its Twitter account.

An official with Moosejaw could not be immediately reached for comment.
