CHICAGO — The Muslim Turkey Drive is raising money to give away turkeys for Thanksgiving.

The turkey drive started in 2001, when members of the Muslim community aimed to give away 300 turkeys. This year, organizers hope to raise enough money to distribute 1,500 turkeys to families in need at these locations:

• Emmett Till Math and Science Academy, 6543 S. Champlain Ave.

• Fiske Elementary School, 6020 S. Langley Ave.

• Fairfield Elementary School, 6201 S. Fairfield Ave.

• Inner-City Muslim Action Network, 2744 W. 63rd St.

Turkeys can be donated for $19 each. You can donate online or by sending a check to the Sabeel Food Pantry Turkey Drive, P.O. Box 535, La Grange, IL 60525.
