MAGGIE DALEY PARK — Maggie Daley Park is shutting down its climbing wall and preparing to reopen its popular ice ribbon, offering another sign that winter is coming.
The climbing wall, located at 337 E. Randolph St., will be open through Oct. 25, the Chicago Park District tweeted Thursday:
Meanwhile the park's ice ribbon, which drew thousands of skaters and $300,000 in revenue within two months of opening, is anticipated to return in "late November," said Jessica Maxey-Faulkner, a park district spokeswoman. An exact opening date has yet to be determined.
The climbing wall opened in May, and is open from 4 to 8 p.m. on Fridays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Visit the park's website for pricing and more information.
