CHICAGO — Nando's Peri-Peri, the South African chicken chain that entered Chicago earlier this year, plans new restaurants in Lincoln Park and The Loop.

The third Chicago Nando's will open Sept. 30 at 1500 N. Clybourn Ave. in the New City development. A fourth will open in November at 22 S. Wabash Ave. in Jewelers Row. A Good Stuff Eatery shares the Wabash address but occupies a different storefront, a Nando's spokesman said.

Plans for the new restaurants arrive after Nando's opened its first Chicago restaurant in May in the West Loop, followed by a Lakeview store a month later.

Founded in 1987 in Johannesburg, Nando's now operates across 23 countries on five continents. It made its American debut in 2008.
