PORTAGE PARK — Portage Park Elementary School students will bring William Shakespeare's famous tale of thwarted love and mistaken identity "Twelfth Night" to life during two performances, organizers said.

The Portage Park School Dramatics will take the stage at 3 p.m. Wednesday and 7 p.m. Thursday, at 5330 W. Berteau Ave., said Brian Berheide, the camp's leader.

The performances will be directed by Berheide and Darci Gruber, who oversaw a four-member crew and 14-member cast.

The students studied the play's exploration of the power of love and the impact of unrequited love and the inability to choose who we love, Berheide said.

The play also highlights the "artificiality of class divisions," Berheide said.

Audiences can expect to experience "sheer joy" while watching the highly accomplished cast and crew perform, Berheide said.

Tickets are $5. For more information, call 773-534-3576.
