Wrigley Field To Put on its First Fireworks Display for Fourth of July

CHICAGO — Wrigley Field will put on its first postgame fireworks display and military tributes for the Fourth of July.

A Cubs Camo Cap will be given to the first 10,000 fans at the park, and there will be a pregame ceremony where a large American flag will be displayed by 100 members of the USO of Illinois. Players will wear "patriotic uniforms" and the the ballpark will be decorated, according to a Cubs news release.

After the game, fireworks will be set off from within the ballpark. The display is the first postgame fireworks show hosted by the Cubs at Wrigley, according to the team.

The Cubs take on the Marlins at 6:15 p.m. July 4.
