CHICAGO — Jeremy Scheuch went all-out cowboy for Friday's Cubs game versus his beloved Kansas City Royals at Wrigley Field.

Scheuch, who became a pseudo cult hero after he and his mustache were spotted during the Royals' win to clinch a post-season berth at U.S. Cellular Field last year, wore a Royals cowboy hat with a self-described "couture" blue shirt with K.C. logos on the pockets and sleeves. He said a friend made the shirt for him, and he found the hat online.

"I had a little 8-year-old girl come up to me today and ask if I was a real cowboy," said Scheuch, the general manager at Do312 — a Logan Square-based events and social planning website.

Scheuch said he doesn't mind the attention his outfits draw.

"If I can make someone smile, why not? I'm just being me," he said.

The Royals advanced to last year's World Series for the first time since winning the 1985 championship.
