CHICAGO — One man was killed and three others were wounded in shootings on the North and South sides since Thursday evening, police said.

In West Englewood, a man died after being shot in his head during a fight Thursday night.

In the most recent shooting, a man was walking on the sidewalk when two people emerged from a gangway and fired shots in West Rogers Park.

• Earlier in West Englewood, a 22-year-old man was standing in his garage in the 2100 block of West 70th Place when he saw a man fire shots in his direction at 11:50 p.m., said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The 22-year-old was shot in his right thigh and was driven by a friend to Holy Cross Hospital where his condition had stabilized, Cooper said.

• In Douglas at 5:46 p.m., a 35-year-old man was arguing with another man in a car in the 3800 of South Vincennes Avenue, when one of them pulled out a gun, Cooper said.

During the struggle for the gun, the 35-year-old was shot in his hip and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was listed in fair condition, Cooper said.
