Nude Selfie Prompts Seminar For Parents On The Dangers Of Social Media

BEVERLY — A nude selfie posted on Snapchat by a girl in Beverly and shared with her boyfriend has prompted an Internet safety seminar.

The photo was used by the boyfriend in Oak Lawn to blackmail the girl into sending more pics, which he then shared with other students, according to a story from the Chicago Tribune.

Chicago Police Det. Charlie Hollendoner will host the parents-only seminar at 7 p.m. on Thursday at St. John Fisher School in Beverly.

The seminar in the school's Kane Hall at 10200 S. Washtenaw Ave. is intended for parents of elementary and high school students. No children are allowed.

The Chicago Police Department's presentation will focus on the the dangers of social media.
