What Time Did the Blackhawks Game End Last Night? Way Too Late

DOWNTOWN — Chicago hockey fans have a right to be tired Wednesday: the team won in the third overtime 3-2 over the Nashville Predators. The AP put the time of final goal at 1:16 a.m. Wednesday.

It was described as "101 grueling minutes" before Hawks defensemen Brent Seabrook scored the winning goal.

Infoplease lists the longest playoff overtime game as a Detroit-Montreal Maroons game in 1936 that lasted 176 minutes and 30 seconds in Montreal. Detroit won 1-0 in six overtimes.

Also in six overtimes was the second longest game in NHL playoff history, a 1933, Toronto 1, Boston 0 contest that lasted 164 minutes and 46 seconds.
