Former Oprah Chef Art Smith Leads All-Star Chefs at St. Thomas Benefit

HYDE PARK — St. Thomas the Apostle School will hold its annual fundraiser Saturday with a dinner by Kenwood resident Art Smith, the former personal chef to Oprah Winfrey.

Smith will be joined by Bill Kim of Belly Q, Giuseppe Tentori of Boka, Cesar Pineda of Ciao Amore and Mike Mech of the Bungalow Chef for a four-course meal at 6 p.m. for the Starry Night benefit at the school, 5467 S. Woodlawn Ave.

Tickets are $100 and can be purchased through the school’s website. Cocktail attire is requested.

St. Thomas is a parochial school that serves 217 students in preschool through eighth grade.
