CHICAGO — A man is facing charges after shooting a 23-year-old during an argument in South Chicago last month.

Anton Davis, 22, of Evergreen Park, is being charged with one count of aggravated battery with a firearm, police said in a statement.

Davis was identified as the man who shot another man during an argument on March 27, police said.

In South Chicago at 5:55 p.m., Davis and the 23-year-old man were arguing in a store in the 3200 block of East 87th Street, police said. Davis then pulled out a gun and shot the 23-year-old in the chest, who was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

Davis is scheduled to appear in bond court Saturday.
