CHICAGO — Bacon lovers rejoice! Nana restaurant in Bridgeport is set to debut its bacon dish ahead of Baconfest.

For those looking to get their bacon fix early, Nana executive chef Jeremy Kiens will offer diners a preview of his bacon-focused appetizer starting Saturday.

The $7 appetizer includes a bacon fat-fried house-made durro with medium grain whole-wheat flour topped with a warm bacon salad of house-smoked bacon, red onions, avocado, roasted bell peppers and cilantro with fresh lime juice and salsa-infused vinegar.

Baconfest Chicago will be held at the UIC Forum, 725 W. Roosevelt Road, on April 17-18. The annual Bacon festival supports the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
