Police, Fire Plan Fundraiser in Garfield Ridge Ahead of Annual Boxing Match

Battle of the Badges

CHICAGO — Ahead of next month's Battle of the Badges, Chicago police officers and firefighters will hold a fundraising event in Garfield Ridge Friday, March 27.

The pre-fight fundraiser and party sponsored by Country Financial and Home Run Inn Pizza, will be held at Redmond's Pub, 5730 S. Archer Avenue, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

For $25, attendees can enjoy pizza and drinks that will benefit the Chicago Police and Fire Departments' charities.

The 13th Annual Battle of the Badges — Chicago Style will take place April 24 at De La Salle Institute, 3455 S. Wabash Ave.

Advanced tickets are $15 and $20 at the door. Last year, the event saw more than 3,000 people stop by for the annual boxing match.
