LOGAN SQUARE — It’s happy hour in Logan Square and Humboldt Park, and beer fans can celebrate the neighborhood’s finest brews with some of its finest drinkers.

The Logan Square Draught Beer Preservation Society will host its 10th Internationale Hiking Day Pub Stroll Wednesday, March 4 to drink and be merry at Chicago’s “tap beer Mecca:” Logan Square and its surrounding neighborhoods.

The group will convene at Piece Brewery, 1927 W. North Ave., at 5:30 p.m. before proceeding westward along the North Avenue Corridor near the border of Logan Square and Humboldt Park, departing each pub at a quarter past the hour to arrive at the next bar at half past the hour.

At each stop, Hiking Day Pub Strollers will rate each tavern on objective criteria, such as "Honest Pour," "True 16-ounce Pints," "Freshness" and "Tap Cleanliness," "Tap Diversity," "Ambiance," and of course, the coveted “Best-In-Stroll” designation.

The 10th anniversary pub crawl will have a pint or two at the following bars:

“Much has changed in the past 10 years since our Society stepped off on our first pub stroll," the Logan Square Draught Beer Society said in an announcement on their site.

"Once in danger of becoming a Draught Beer Desert, Logan Square is now widely recognized as a tap beer Mecca. We can all be proud of our Society's important role in fomenting this change!”
