CHICAGO — A 15-year-old boy shot Dec. 16 in Altgeld Gardens died Friday, authorities said.
Tyler Ellis, of the 700 block of East 131st Street in Riverdale, was shot in the head in the 600 block of East 133rd Street about 7:50 p.m. on Dec. 16, police said. Tyler's home was less than half a mile from where he was shot.
He was taken in critical condition to Comer Children's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Friday at 9:33 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.
