CHICAGO — An Austin ministry and Lincoln Park bar are teaming up to Bear Down on Sunday.

Circle Urban Ministries, a faith-based organization based in Austin, put together a fundraiser at Joe's Bar, 940 W. Weed St. Sunday during the Bears vs. Buccaneers game.

“Bear Down for Chicago Urban Youth" will feature a $30 wristband deal for drinks from noon to 3 p.m. and raffle tickets for prizes like White Sox tickets, Bears gear, a wine package and car detailing.

No wristband is needed to attend the event and watch the game; all are welcome, according to the Facebook event page.

The event was planned and organized by Circle Urban's Young Professional Board. Some wristband proceeds and all raffle ticket proceeds benefit Circle Urban's youth programs such as mentoring, preparing for college, arts enrichment and spiritual development.

Circle Urban Ministries began in 1974 and aims to "[transform] Chicago’s West side through faith in action.”
