HYDE PARK — University of Chicago Police said they are looking for a woman and two men for punching a man and taking his phone on Tuesday.
According to police, at 4:10 a.m. the woman and the two men got out of a beige SUV on 55th Street just east of Cottage Grove Avenue and confronted the man.
The woman, who was described as black with dreadlocks wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, started punching the victim while the two men went through his pockets, according to police.
The men, one who was described as a 6-foot black man with dreadlocks wearing a gray sweatshirt and the other as a 5-foot-6 black man, jumped back into the SUV with the woman and drove away down 55th Street and then south down Ellis Avenue, according to police.
Police said the victim was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Police have now issued warnings for 10 robberies in the last month. One man is believed to be behind four of the armed robberies in Hyde Park. Police are looking for four men wanted for five armed robberies in Kenwood.
