ROGERS PARK — Residents are encouraged to join a work day 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Loyola Dune Restoration site just north of Pratt Pier.

Organizers said they would provide gloves and tools to weed the restoration site, a fenced-off section of beach that has grown native dune plants since 2003.

Participants will remove weeds, pick up trash and collect and redistribute plant seeds, according to organizers.

Organizers also plan to conduct a tour of the area for those interested.
