PORTAGE PARK — State Rep.-Elect Will Guzzardi is scheduled to speak at the Oct. 20 meeting of the Portage Park Neighborhood Association.
Guzzardi will represent the 39th District in the Illinois House, which includes portions of Belmont Cragin, Portage Park, Humboldt Park and Logan Square.
Historic Chicago Bungalow Association Executive Director Mary Ellen Guest is also scheduled to speak to the neighborhood group.
Federal officials recently approved the bungalow association's proposal to recognize Portage Park on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic bungalow district.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at 4839 W. Irving Park Road. Metered parking is available on Irving Park Road.
