WEST ROGERS PARK — The Chicago Audubon Society on Sunday will lead residents on a bird-watching walk through Indian Boundary Park.

Participants will set out from the field house at 8 a.m.

The park's advisory council announced that a great egret had been spotted at the park recently.

In April, 30 people on a similar walk spotted 22 species of birds, according to the advisory council.

In August, the Chicago Park District removed three large snapping turtles from the park's lagoon. Some neighbors said the turtles had been scaring waterfowl.
