ALBANY PARK — Not that anyone needs an excuse to eat pizza and drink beer, but here's one anyway: Your food and beverage consumption will benefit the Albany Park Community Center.
The center's associate board is hosting "Party With a Purpose" from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Golden Crust Pizza and Tap, 4620 N. Kedzie Ave.
A $35 ticket will get partygoers access to food and Golden Crust's 40 beers on tap, while raising money to support the center's community-based programs, which include literacy and citizenship classes for adults, employment training and counseling services.
Tickets can be bought in advance online.
