ANDERSONVILLE — The Neo-Futurists are venturing outside Andersonville this summer and taking their flash-theater act south to a couple other Chicago neighborhoods in partnership with the Chicago Park District.

On Thursday, the experimental theater troupe with a flair for the absurd is scheduled to perform its signature presentation of 30 plays in 60 minutes, "Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind," at Pilsen's Dvorak Park, 1119 W. Cullerton St.

The free show starts at 7 p.m., and is being presented as one of the Chicago Park District's Night out in the Parks events.

On July 30, the Neos will head to the historic Washington Park Refectory for the first of five scheduled performances of "Too Much Light."

The shows, part of the park district's Chicago Summer Film Festival, all start at either 6:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m., and cost $10 to attend.
