NEAR WEST SIDE — A new Pete's Fresh Market will open Wednesday at Madison Street and Western Avenue.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel will be on hand for the grocery chain's grand opening at 2333 W. Madison St. at 8 a.m.

Representatives from radio station B96 and Coca Cola will also be giving out prizes Wednesday.

Longtime Chicago broadcast anchor Bill Kurtis will also be at the store from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to sign autographs, take photos, and speak about his Tallgrass Beef line — a grass-fed product without hormones or antibiotics.
