LINCOLN PARK — Attention Lincoln Park residents: "Snarf" is no longer just a reference to a 1980's cartoon character.

Snarf's Sandwiches is planning to opening two locations in Lincoln Park by the end of the summer.

Snarf's DePaul will be located at 955 West Webster Avenue, and Snarf's Oz Park is planned to open at 2201 North Lincoln Avenue, said Jill Preston, a spokeswoman for the company.

Preston said both locations will be open later this summer. No hard date has been set for either site's location, but the Lincoln Avenue shop is expected to open before the shop on Webster Avenue, Preston said.

The Colorado-based business already has two Downtown locations, and its Near North location took some heat earlier this year when its workers protested after they were abruptly fired three days before Christmas.

The company reopened the location in February and offered to rehire the laid-off workers after protests.
