WICKER PARK — The Smoke Daddy is marking its 20th anniversary with a three-day bash that includes food specials, live music and a daylong "pig roast for the ages."

The barbecue spot has celebrated a number of big milestones in its two-decade run serving up slabs of meat and blues music in Wicker Park, including an ownership change in 2004, a big expansion about a year ago and the addition of Southern-style brunch.

"We have been thrilled to be a part of this wonderful neighborhood for so long," 4-Star Restaurant Group owner Josh Rutherford said in a statement.

On May 15, The Smoke Daddy will rollback menu prices to what they were in 1994, amounting to about a 20 percent discount.

The next day, the restaurant plans to feature a "big name" band, which has yet to be announced.

The party culminates in Pig Fest Saturday, which promises to be a "pig roast for the ages," according to a statement from The Smoke Daddy.

The roast will last from 10 a.m. to midnight and include bands, raffles, contests and drink specials. Pigs will be slow-roasted on a pit and covered with house-made barbecue sauce.

The blowout takes place May 15-17 at the restaurant, 1804 W. Division St., with no cover charge.
