LAKEVIEW — Another Thai restaurant is opening Lakeview, this time from owners with ties to Savannah, Ga.
Thai Day Street Cafe, 3113 N. Halsted St., has posted signs over the storefront window announcing that the restaurant is "coming soon."
It will be offering Thai classics like noodle soup, pad thai, curries and stir fry dishes, according to a sign.
The restaurant window also displays a review from South magazine about Kao Thai, a now-shuttered restaurant in Savannah, Ga.
In it, the magazine recommends the Thai Steak, a fired up dish from Chef Woratep Khamdaeng's mother featuring a secret sauce.
"The combination of tastes and textures of this Thunderbolt restaurant offers a truly unique taste experience you won't soon forget," the review said.
