RIVER NORTH — Lakeview's Headquarters Beercade has announced a second location planned for River North that will open next spring.

Mark Kwiatkowski opened the video game-filled bar at 950 W. Wolfram St. in October after falling in love with a similar concept in Brooklyn.

"It speaks to people that don't want to grow up," Kwiatkowski told DNAinfo.com Chicago last year.

The concept took off, and last spring the bar expanded into the adjacent space that was previously Uncle Fatty's tiki-themed bar. They stocked the new room with pinball machines.

The bar boasts a lengthy craft beer selection, paired with cult favorite games including Pac-Man, X-Men, Mortal Kombat, Frogger, Indiana Jones pinball, Avengers pinball and Metallica pinball, spokeswoman Whitney Read said.
