LOGAN SQUARE — In keeping with its longstanding tradition of "dressing up" the restaurant for Halloween, Lula Cafe will once again disguise itself as another business and throw a Halloween bash this Thursday.

But this year, Lula Cafe owners are doing something a little different.

Monday morning they began dropping hints on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages about what exactly the restaurant will go as this year.

As of Tuesday morning they'd just left one clue — an image of a "Chicago Tribune" newspaper with a story headlined "Widespread disappearances linked to local restaurant."

The fake story goes on to tell of the restaurant's previous Halloween incarnations, such as Taco Hell, the Violent Hour and Luma's Corner.

It's unclear how many hints Lula will provide, but a spokeswoman said Tuesday morning that Lula fans can expect two more sometime on Tuesday with a final announcement by Wednesday.

She added that this week's event may top all previous years.

"Rumor has it, this particular Halloween is going to be so awesome that Lula might just put the tradition in its grave after this year," she said.
