CHICAGO — A 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with a Wednesday night shooting outside a Little Village bar, police said.

Adolfo Zuniga, of the 2900 block of West 25th Place, is due in court Friday on an aggravated battery charge.

He is accused of shooting a 29-year-old man at 11:40 p.m. outside Lorraine's Lounge, 2658 W. 24th Place.

Zuniga walked up to his victim and fired bullets into his abdomen and groin before running away, police said.

He was arrested shortly after the incident.

No one answered the door at the nightclub Thursday afternoon. Walter Webber, a 54-year-old cook who lives around the corner from Lorraine's, said the gang activity on the street has only gotten worse since he moved onto the block.

"It's terrible," he said. "It's sad, it's really sad. I've lived on this block 4½ years and instead of getting better, it's getting worse."
