CHICAGO — Chef Graham Elliot's Grahamwich restaurant has closed, the "MasterChef" judge posted on Twitter Tuesday morning.

According to the Tribune, which first reported the news, the sandwich shop at 615 N. State Street closed on Monday.

On Tuesday morning, Elliot tweeted, "Ladies and gentlemen, Grahamwich has left the building. Big shout out to the team and fans for all the love!"

The chef, who also organizes the lineup of food at Lollapalooza in Grant Park, also has restaurants at 217 W. Huron St. and 841 W. Randolph Street.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Grahamwich has left the building," Elliot said in an emailed statement. "After nearly three years of making what critics have called 'the best sandwiches in America', we played our last set this past weekend at Lollapalooza.

"We'd like to give a huge shout out to all of our fans for their loyalty and support, and look forward to getting the band back together sometime in the future."

At Lollapalooza, the shop served its signature lobster corn dogs along with truffle-and-parmesan popcorn.
