LINCOLN SQUARE — With temperatures expected to top 90 degrees, the Chicago Park District couldn't have picked a more perfect weekend for the opening of its outdoor swimming pools.
Come on in, the water's fine at River, Gompers, Hamlin and California parks, where swimming hours start at 11 a.m. daily.
Blocks of time, typically an hour, have been set aside for youth camps, adult lap swim, parent and tot swim, open swim, family swim and youth swim. Schedules vary by park:

General rules include: a maximum of three children per adult during family swim, a maximum age of 6 for youngsters participating in tot swim, 42-inch height required for youth swim and a membership required for adult lap swim.
