LOGAN SQUARE — Hungry diners got their fix of chicken and fish in Logan Square Wednesday, as Parson's Chicken & Fish opened up shop.

The owners have kept mum about the official opening date, but multiple employees told DNAinfo.com Chicago Wednesday afternoon they expected to open at 4 p.m. — and open they did.

Owner Peter Toalson, one of the minds behind Longman & Eagle, said last month they were aiming for a May 1 opening, but that April's bad weather set them back.

The long-awaited restaurant, promising to serve up "elevated shack food and elaborate cocktails" at 2952 W. Armitage Ave., has already made food blog Eater's list of the 35 most anticipated openings in the country.
