CHICAGO –  The much anticipated companion to the award-winning Girl & the Goat restaurant, Little Goat Bread, opened Thursday on the Near West Side.

Fans of chef Stephanie Izard can find some of her favorites at the combination coffee shop, deli, bakery, retail store and bar at 820 W. Randolph St.

Early-risers can delight in pastries and freshly roasted Stumptown Coffee.

Fresh-baked baguettes, sourdough and seasonal bread flavors are available all day, and are “perfect for grabbing a loaf on the way home make dinner,” according to a release.

Those more inclined to close down the bar can sip 12 small craft beers and handcrafted cocktails until 2 p.m. daily.

Honey from a locally-sponsored bee farm, Izard's maple syrup blend, and Goat clothes and accessories can be purchased at the gift shop.

The full diner with a complete menu will open later in December, according to the release.

Girl & the Goat is at 809 W. Randolph.
