BUCKTOWN — As members of the Local School Council continue their search for a permanent principal to head Bucktown's Pulaski School, Dr. Lillian Gonzalez will serve as an interim administrator-in-charge, it was announced this week.
Gonzalez joins Assistant Principal Diana Racasi.
The news was announced in the Friends of Pulaski e-newsletter, which noted that when Chicago Public Schools issued its updated principal eligibility list later this season, or in December, the search was expected to accelerate.
At Monday's Local School Council meeting, an update from the Principal Search Commitee will be among the topics. The Council meets at 7 p.m. in the school's library, 2230 W. McLean Avenue.
Pulaski International Academy is a Chicago Public Schools neighborhood school that recently converted to an International Baccalaureate curriculum. The school will host an open house on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Faculty, staff, and parent volunteers will be present.
