The Kentler International Drawing Space in Red Hook presents "To Be Young, Gifted and Black in the Age of Obama," showing from Friday, Sept. 7, through Sunday, Oct. 21. The exhibition features works by artists Alonzo Edwards, Duron Jackson, Yashua Klos, Jasmine Murrell, Jamea Richmond-Edwards, Senghor Reid, Alexandria Smith and Matthew Thomas, according to an event announcement distributed by the gallery.

An opening reception will take place Friday, Sept. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. A curator's talk will be held Sunday, Sept. 23, at 4 p.m.
