Forestdale, a family services agency in Forest Hills, and the New York Center for Juvenile Justice, are hosting a forum to discuss efforts to raise the age of criminal responsibility in New York.

Under New York law, once a child reaches their 16th birthday, they are considered criminally responsible for their actions.

The Queens Raise the Age forum will take place on May 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Jamaica.
